I’ve been saying they should put the wee-baby in that seat since like the middle of last year. If Maxy outperforms Ricciardo, expect to see Sainz alongside him next year or given one more year of waiting at STR since Ricciardo’s contract runs through 2017..

Max is good, but he won’t consistently outperform Ricciardo. Also, I’m not sure the RBR is better than the Torro Rosso. I dunno how much of an upgrade this really is. We’ll find out, I guess.

I have no ill will towards any of the 4 RB drivers though, so that outcome would be very bittersweet

If I wasn’t clear I’m buying that seat for myself. Rossi can get one based on “talent”, “sponsors”, “success” and “previous experience”.

I’m relying on copious quantities of cash and corruption. That’s the MURICAN way.

The Renault this year is up on power over the Ferrari of last year. Also, STR has beaten RBR at the start before due to RBR’s focus on more extreme designs. Once they get this year’s car sorted (it looked like it was there or thereabouts in Russia til the Russian Torpedo fucked it all up), they’ll rocket ahead like they did last year.

Why not buy a Haas seat? I’m sure they wouldn’t mind getting rid of Estie, and he’s just another one of those mexicans stealing our jobs. Gene Haas should be ashamed of himself. The Donald will fix it.

Here’s a plan that Gene will be smart enough to go along with. “Raffle” the seat to a natural-born MURICAN veteran. I put raffle in quotation marks because obviously it’s rigged for you to win, but it boosts his profile, gets more American interest in F1, and Supports The Troops™.

Not likely. The bloodshed in the Russian GP was definitely a huge factor. I wouldn’t be surprised if Horner/Mark were swayed by Vettel’s complains and Ricciardo’s gesturing after the race. This might be the best thing to happen, as far as team dynamics go, for both RBR and STR.
